CampIT Conferences

In November, IDS sponsored and presented at two CampIT Conferences in Rosemont, IL, where enterprise IT executives from throughout the Midwest gathered to learn about new technologies. At the first, our CTO Justin Mescher spoke about creating an infrastructure cost model. At the second, IDS Engineers David Langley and Nick Rodriquez presented on DR technologies and protecting data in a virtual environment, respectively.

Chicago VMUG

IDS was a Gold sponsor at this year’s first ever Chicago VMUG regional user conference in Schaumburg, IL. With over 400 people in attendance, the event was a big success. At the IDS table, we talked shop with attendees and gave away candy and our solar-powered phone charger swag.

2nd Annual NetApp Chicago Open

IDS was a major sponsor at this year’s NetApp golf outing, providing signature cocktails at the 3rd hole, a “beat the pro” contest at the 6th, and a long drive contest at the 10th. We also sponsored the beverage cart and provided prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place scramble winners. With gorgeous weather for the day, it turned out to be perfect conditions for a fun-filled day on the course for all who attended. We can’t wait ’til next year!

Brewers Outing @ Miller Park

On September 1st, IDS hosted a Brewers outing at Miller Park’s T.G.I. Friday’s Front Row in the Brew Room Suite—a great view of the action! Thank you to EMC for being a sponsor, and thank you to our customers and prospects for joining us. Unfortunately, the Brew Crew didn’t pull out a victory, but Cecil Fielder did knock his 30th home run of the season, almost putting it up in the suite.
